Anderssons At Ongava & Game Drives at Ongava Lodge

Upon arriving at Windhoek’s Hosea Kutako Airport, a representative from Anne Luxury Travel will assist with customs and your check-in for a flight to Ongava Airstrip. There, a representative from Ongava Lodge will transfer you to the lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing and watching wildlife at the waterhole before an evening game drive on the Ongava Game Reserve, followed by dinner and more wildlife viewing at the lodge’s floodlit waterhole.

Ongava Game Reserve spans 30,000 hectares along the southwest border of Etosha National Park and hosts a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, and rhinos. Ongava Lodge, located on a rocky outcrop, offers luxurious thatched chalets with private verandas, en-suite bathrooms, and air conditioning. The main lodge features a lounge, dining area, and pool overlooking a floodlit waterhole. Guests can enjoy game drives, night drives, and nature walks on the reserve.

This morning, you’ll enjoy a guided game drive in the southwestern side of Etosha National Park, followed by a late lunch and relaxation at Ongava Lodge. In the afternoon, there will be another game drive on the private Ongava Reserve, with dinner at the lodge restaurant.

Etosha National Park spans 22,270 km², featuring 5,000 km² of saline pans, including the largest, the Etosha Pan. Once part of a large lake, it is now a seasonal saline desert. The park has diverse habitats like grasslands, woodlands, and savannahs, supporting over 114 mammal and 340 bird species, including elephants, lions, giraffes, and rhinos.

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Ongava airstrip for your flight to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek. Upon arrival, a representative from Anne Luxury Travel will assist with your check-in for your international flight home.
